I telephoned my server and everything is correct in other words all boxes are ticked correctly on windows Live Mail. However still no outgoing mail. After reading some answers to this problem on various forums windows live mail I checked Avast settings and their port for smpt. is 25,587. When I spoke with my server the outgoing smpt. settings on advanced in windows mail should be 587. Should I alter the Avast settings to 587. Please help as the company who is the server stated we are not responsible for Windows Live Mail, in other words all boxes are ticked and it is not our problem. See the 5th post by Charyb on this thread http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=66895.15 You can also disable Avasts Mail Shield to see if it works with it off. I do see many saying Avast wants to keep changing the setting back to port 25. A Guy My System Specs Computer type PC/Desktop OS

If your internet connection is not working, that has nothing to do with Outlook, Outlook Express or error 0x800ccc0d. Your mail failure is just one symptom of not being connected to the internet. If you are connected, step 2 is to validate your Outlook Express account configuration. Specifically, if you click on the Tools menu in Outlook Express, then click on the Accounts menu item, and then in the resulting dialog box click on the Mail tab, you should
