Now i am having trouble with outlook express, it won't receive or send https://www.windowsbbs.com/threads/outlook-express-bigpond-not-receiving-sending-emails.78527/ emails and comes up with this message: The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.bigpond.com', Server: 'mail.bigpond.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm sure it is something really simple but I can't figure it out. I have also lost all my contacts but I can get these up with an old outlook express, but can't seem to tranfer them across. Will I just have to retype them all in? Thanks Should note that it is Outlook Express 6 that I am now using. Recently I received the following error message: "Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', 'Windows windows live Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E,' 'Protocol: SMTP,' 'PORT:25,' 'Secure (SSL):No,' 'Socket Error 100060' " I can receive emails and go to web sites; however, I cannot send emails. They all go to Outbox. This is a new problem which has never previously occurred in over one year of use. Does anyone have a suggested fix? Deleted and rekeyed the server settings? If required, verify authentication for the outgoing server is enabled. Can you login in to your Comcast web mail server? Do you have plenty of storage remaining on the Comcast web mail server? What anti-virus program are you using? Is it configured to scan incoming and outgoing e-mails? What firewall are you using? Verify it is not blocking internet to the application or SMTP. Let us know what you find.
