Needless to say, I don't get any messages when this error occurs, but they do come in again when it reconnects after 5 minutes. Is this a problem with VPOP3 or my ISP? It sounds like something has caused the connection to drop; this could either be something at your end

Even when not running POPCollector as a service, but as an application I get the message "Socket error 10053 (Connection is http://answers.pscs.co.uk/5/10053-error-during-incoming-pop-connection aborted due to timeout or other failure)" Since this error seems to be connected to the STUNNEL-implementation, I already trie upraging STUNNEL to the most recent version, and configuring it appropriately, but to no avail. Therfore I uninstalled STUNNEL and POPCollector and reinstalled it, but unfortnately this issue is very persistent. When examing the behaviour of STUNNEL more closely, "netstat -ano" shows http://www.cedit.biz/forum/3-installation/5829-popcollector-not-working-with-ssl me, that the STUNNEL-process changes its PID, and therefore the port-number it is listining on almost every time POPCollector tries to retrieve mails from any configured mail account. It seems as if STUNNEL is totally ignoring the port configuration set in POPCollector. Could anybody please give me a hint on where to look for remedy ? I installed the full stunnel package 5.07 from www.stunnel.org/downloads.html The I copied all important files (dlls, stunnel.exe, stunnel.pem) to the pop collector folder. Also I added "options = NO_TICKET" to the pc.conf And it works! Hope it helps You as well. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: ‘Your Mail Account‘, Server: ‘pop.secureserver.net‘, Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F This issue may be due to Vista's AutoTuning of the TCP stack for performance. You can try the following; 1. Click on the Vista start orb and type cmd in the Start Search box. 2. The search results will display a program named cmd.exe 3. Right-click on the link and select "Run as administrator" 4. After the command prompt window opens, type "netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled" without the quotation marks, then press Enter. 5. Test your POP account and see if you can download your mail now.

I am able to send and receive emails when I go through my browser and out to yahoo, but if I go directly into an Outlook program I get errors. This is an error from Outlook Express.
