Windows Update Error 57A Started by black069 , Aug 24 2013 09:20 PM Please log in to reply 1 reply to this topic #1 code 800b0100 black069 black069 Members 66 posts OFFLINE Gender:Male Location:Tabor City, NC Local time:10:56 PM Posted 24 August 2013 - 09:20 PM I am trying to use Windows Update to update my windows update but, repeatedly, all 7 "important" updates fail with the following error messages: Code 57A Windows Update found an unknown error. and Code 80070652 Windows Update found an unknown error. Six of the error codes are for Microsoft Office 2010 32-bit, which I do have installed, and one is for MS Filter Pack 2.0. I can get the exact updates if they will help. I have looked on the internet, but the best help I could find was to do a system restore, but I have too much junk to perform that. I have Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1 on a Sony Vaio SE Laptop. Please help. Thanks.

Hi, I have realised these days that I am having some problems with some important Windows updates for almost a month now. There are 5 important updates that repeatedly fail (KB2965300, KB3054963, KB3054973, KB3054976 and KB3054981). Checking the internet for solutions I found and tried a couple of Microsoft automatic Fixes, but nothing helped. Then I found your forums and ran the SFC /scannow as suggested it finished with the message: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.. Therefore I have ran also your SFC Fix program and obtained the SFCFIX.txt file with the suggestion to open a new thread on your forum. Please find the resulting SFCFIX.txt file attached. I also attach the zip file with the content of my CBS folder, but without the cabinet files. Besides that I have recently noticed that sometimes during typing the text into some window it happens that that window suddenly loses focus an a lot of letters are missing in the text however, restarting the computer seems to resolve these issues every time.
