been like this for about three days now, Windows update fails and comes up with error code 80072EFD. Any suggestions please... I dont know when the update stopped working. I recently installed Office 2010 and a Logitech cam. To check if these were problems I uninstalled the Logitec cam and use Acronis to go back before Office 2010 to Office 2003 and the error still occurs. Updating Microsoft Security Essentials is OK. Looking at Internet Explores and going to widows Update there is a reference to ActiveX need to be added but I don't know how to??? I now know how the proxy was set - my wile logs onto a secure school site and from time to time it request setting a proxy and of cause does not remove the proxy on exit. Thank you again.
