It tells me that it needs to download an update to windows update, but then it comes back with an error, stating that "Windows could not search for new updates. An error occured while checking for new updates for your computer", with the error code 800F081F. I followed up by searching for the error code and have gone through all options Microsoft gives to solve it, but nothing has changed. I tried the Microsoft Fixit tool for windows update, and it shows me the error but gives no solution. I tried the HotFit (KB947821), but it also was unable to fix the issue. I've done everything else I can think of. I've run a malwarebytes scan and it found one registry entry that I quarantined, but found nothing else. I've also run AVG, full scan. Looking for more options. Can anyone help? Thanks,Jon
 David H.
