up IIS 8 - 500 server error logs up vote 1 down vote favorite I have a desktop application that makes a call to an asp page on the web server. The web server is currently returning a 500 server error and I cannot figure out how to get more detail. There doesnt seem to be anything in the Event Viewer: Windows 500 error iis 8 Logs->application. Is there a setting I can make or another place I can find logs? Seems like this would be a typical issues but I cannot find any information on this. If so, then the event viewer->app log on the server is absolutely the place to go. It fill create bunch of XML files you can easily investigate using IE installed on the server.
