My first guess is that you don't have the access correct. Do you have any problems with other operations? 0 Message Author Comment by:Raleigh2009-03-07 The problem was on the bucket name, it has no clear explanation what is a bucket name nor is it a given name or the one I used when I uploaded the AMI. Why Amazon didn't published any books nor reference about their own services?! 0 LVL 96 Overall: Level 96 Web Development 10 Miscellaneous 1 Message Expert Comment by:Bob Learned2009-03-07 There are some resources that I have used in the past that explained how to reference and use web service calls, so I would think that there should be resources for what you needed, too. Are you saying that you found a solution? 0 LVL 32 Overall: Level 32 Web Development 17 AWS 12 Linux 4 Message Active today Accepted Solution by:shalomc2009-03-08 I understand your frustration, but bundling requires understanding of S3 bucket usage. me access denied 403 error. even though i am accessing that bucket as owner, i get amazon s3 access denied this error. what could have gone wrong ?? it started giving 403 error just few hours ago despite the fact that i didn;t changed cloudfront s3 access denied anything - if i try to change the secret key, is there any chance of loosing the already existing data/log ?? - i can see the list of objects .... but i noticed that Owner itself doesn't have any https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/24200428/Problem-uploading-AMI-to-S3.html permission (niether it has setted as No-Permission) -- if i try to change the permission, it says access denied. thanks in advance vishwa Top Report this postReply with quote Re: access denied 403 error by saurabh » Thu Nov 22, 2007 10:26 am You mentioned that you are the owner of the bucket. Who uploaded these files in your bucket? Did you upload with your own key? I think the owner on files may be different from owner on http://support.bucketexplorer.com/topic205.html the bccket itself. If you have not used any other program, other than Bucket Explorer to upload the data to S3, you can safely change the secret key. Their are some backup programs, which encrypt the data using your secret key, so if you have used any, then its a good idea to keep a copy of your secret key before changing it. If you are able to connect and see the list of files, then its not a Secret key issue.
