Gpresult Access Denied Windows 7
when running gpresult on a Windows 7 SP1 32bit system. I ran winmgmt /verifyrepository and gpresult access denied server 2008 r2 it came back Consistant. We are using an elevated command prompt, the user is a local admin, and UAC is disabled. gpresult access denied windows 10 When I use run as a different user, it runs fine for that user. When this user logs into another machine,he can run gpresult fine. From a remote machine running: gpresult /sPROBLEM-PC /userproblemuserID /v also produces

the error. Running gpresult /sPROBLEM-PC /userdifferentuserID /v throws INFO: The user "Test1" does not have any RSOP data, which is expected. Running rsop.msc works fine. This is only a big deal because we are doing an Intraforest migration (this user was migrated as part of the pilot) and we are worried that things may break during the migration. Thanks! vote Actually, I stopped the Windows Management Instrumentation manually (it had a third party dependency from Intel so I wonder if the winmgmt commands were not able to stopthe service on their own)and then I ran Winmgmt /resetrepository as outlined in the link below, and then ran a gpupdate /force, and all was well. I suspect that the WMI ACLsare gettingcorrupted or not being translated by the ADMT as I was able to duplicate the problem and fix with several users and machines that I migrated today. I guess SIDHistory is not enough to save WMI.Thanks toeveryone for their input! http://blogs.technet.com/b/askperf/archive/2009/04/13/wmi-rebuilding-the-wmi-repository.aspx Marked as answer by Justin GuMicrosoft contingent staff, Moderator Monday, August 26, 2013 8:37 AM Monday, August 19, 2013 6:23 PM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote Could this be coming from a GP that the users has a deny security trimming? try to browse to sysvol folder of DC and see if you can see all the GPs and access them. Any differences after running CMD as Administrator? Please also check firewall set

access deniederror Posted on 05/04/2011 Updated on 22/04/2012 If you try to run Resultant Set of Policy (RSoP) or gpresult and receives an access denied error, then don't panic. If you get results https://windoh.wordpress.com/2011/04/05/rsop-and-gpresult-result-in-an-access-denied-error/ for the user part, this means RSoP and gpresult seem to work correctly and you're probably not an administrator, what explains why you don't get machine results. If you don't get any result http://www.parmiter.com/microsoft/windows-2003/2008/10/RP492 though, this has probably nothing to do with permissions and then there is a chance this issue is caused by a DLL that's not registered correctly (anymore) and/or a badly compiled MOF file (meaning access denied RSoP and gpresult don't work the way they should). First of all, here is a screenshot of the error in RSoP on a WS03 machine for the latter case (corrupt RSoP/gpresult): If the cause is the forementioned then the following command line procedure should fix it:* cd /d %windir%\system32 (or just "cd %windir%\system32" if you don't have to change the active station)*regsvr32 /n /I userenv.dll* cd wbem* mofcomp gpresult access denied scersop.mof* gpupdate /force regsvr32 register the user environment DLL (userenv.dll) en mofcomp compiles the MOF file scersop.mof. I would like to stress the fact that it's always better to first check if you're an administrator and only if this is the case to perform this command sequence. error message Posted on October 16th, 2008 When running a Resultant Set of Policy from the Group policy management Console (GPMC) the following error is displayed: Also, the following ‘access denied' error appears when running gpresult.exe from a command prompt on the server: Running on other servers seems okay, but on these specific servers there is a problem. Resolution This can be resolved by doing the following: cmd c: cd\windows\system32 regsvr32 /n /I userenv.dll cd\windows\system32\wbem mofcomp scersop.mof gpupdate /force Tested as working on Windows 2003 x64 Enterprise Edition.
