XP - GPRESULT /SCOPE computer > Works fine Vista - GPRESULT /SCOPE computer /v > "ERROR ACCESS DENIED" Why gpresult computer policy only does Vista not like showing me the RSOP for the computer part of the GPO's? What you are missing is that although you are an admin user and UAC is turned off, you don't have built-in admin rights needed to check other than user level policies with GPRESULT. To check the computer level (/scope computer) you have to use an elevated PowerShell or Command Prompt, whichever you prefer. Solved gpresult /r doesn't show Computer Settings Posted on 2010-12-09 Windows Server 2008 1 Verified Solution 2 Comments 5,500 Views Last Modified: 2012-08-14 I have quite a few W2k8 servers the do not show the Computer Settings when I run gpresult /r command. If I run command prompt as administrator then it access denied shows up. Problem is that it is not picking up the Computer GPOs and I have other W2k8 servers that I can run gpresult /r and see the Computer Settings without having to run the command prompt as administrator. I am logging into the server with an account that has domain admin rights. 0 Question by:Greg27 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 59 Best Solution byDarius Ghassem You have to elevate the command prompt for this tool to run properly.
