If the Domino Web Access Redirect database resides on the same server as the user's mail file, then this error does not occur. This same problem can occur in Domino 6.5.5; dominos website doesn t work however, for that version the error message reads "You are not authorized to use the server." Answer This error occurs if a field that controls access is not set appropriately. The "Trusted servers" field controls access for servers acting on a user's behalf. Due to changes in the Domino Web Access Redirect database in Domino 6.5.5 and Domino 7, it is required that this field be set appropriately. To correct the problem, open the Server document for the mail server when the Web users mail files reside. Under "Security - Trusted servers," add the name of the server where the Domino Web Access Redirect database resides. Restart the mail server. account only takes a few minutes. Join Now Hi all, I have a problem with Lotus and I don't know how to solve: when a specific user try to access to Lotus Notes via web mail, he receives the following message: Error 500 https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/166690-error-500-http-web-server-lotus-notes-exception HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - You are not authorized to access that database Error 500 HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - You are not authorized to access that database He doesn't have problem with Lotus Notes client and all the other users don't have this kind of problem. I have checked the mail database properties and they seems ok, the "Don't allow URL open" info is not checked. Do you have any suggestion? We had to manually add the renamed user to their database with editor access. 0 Jalapeno OP Barbara981 Nov 2, 2011 at 5:01 pizza access denied UTC The user sign on via web access until Sunday without problem and on Monday he had the access problem without any changes from the Admin point of view. 0 Mace OP George1421 Nov 2, 2011 at 5:26 UTC This may be only a coincidence on timing. But is this server or the client computer having a timezone problem. In the united states last sunday was the traditional daylight saving time (DST) change. Now DST is next Sunday (I realize you are in the EU). I wonder if the server or the client did not have the timezone patch loaded. This would cause a time difference and SSL to fail. This is only an idea. If you check the clock on the server and the client to ensure they are the same. -geo 0 Jalapeno OP Barbara981 Nov 2, 2011 at 6:06 UTC Hi Geo, we had the time changed between Saturday and Sunday, the problem appears between Sunday and Monday and the user told me that the time was fine. Now I have remove and add again the user in the Access Control, I have checked and unchecked the "Don't allow URL open" option on the database file and now the web access works! I am worried because I don't find the reason of the problem. 0 Datil OP Helpful Post MHB Nov 2, 2011 at 6:47 UTC A few things to check: 1. Internet Password Lockout - see if that user is locked
