I have uninstalled mysql completley and reinstalled but I still get asked for a password. I have no idea why this is the case! Can someone please help me get a default install of MySQL. Environment Fedora Core 10, Full Root Access,

EDIT To all those that would like to save themselves a few hours of "blood coughing" - when you uninstall MySQl completely delete everything that is left behind. I was unable to login to mysql using the mysql console.It is asking for http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16845715/1045-access-denied-for-user-rootlocalhost-using-password-yes a password and I have no clue what I actually entered.(Is there a way to get the password or change it?) This is how my config.inc look. When I try to open phpmyadmin I get this error(#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)) I have tried to uninstall( Plus Deleted all the related files) WAMP and reinstall.It didn't help either.
