by rebootrinserepeat 0 Are your users receiving "Error: Access Denied" when accessing the SharePoint Online Team Site? Here is how to resolve it… Log into the Office 365 portal as the global admin. Access the Team Site Click the Site Actions drop down (top left corner of the page) and select Site Settings Under the Users and Permissions click on People and Groups Click the New drop down and select Add Users In the Select Users section, enter the name of a user https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2917037 that has been assigned a SharePoint Online license and click the Check Name icon. Once the name is validated, click OK. NOTE: If the name does not validate, it is potentially because the account has not been assigned a SharePoint Online license. The new user appears in the Team Site Members page. At this point, the https://rebootrinserepeat.wordpress.com/2013/03/13/sharepoint-online-error-access-denied-when-accessing-team-site/ user will now be able to access the Team Site. Her permission level is "Full Control". I have tried removing/re-adding her. I have tried selecting sharepoint access denied multiple permission levels - both simultaneously and individually. Both with no luck. Have just checked, the same happens for any user with full control permissions within this site. Does anybody know what could be causing this? Have them carefully checked. Master page or the Page Layout used by the home page are being checked out by Site Collection Admin or is lying in "pending" approval state. Any custom solution that might be added in the landing page can cause access issues. Verify closely the uls logs for this. The problem is; I am making a console APP which is talking to SharePoint Online using global admin account (One which was specified as admin while making a new subscription). What I am trying to achieve is, I want to add a custom action using CSOM to each site collection and subsite of office 365. That code works fine except on the root site collection which is pre-created by office 365 while signing up (i.e. https://xyz.sharepoint.com) For any tenant for root site collection, it gives me below error; { "SchemaVersion":"15.0.0.0","LibraryVersion":"16.0.3912.1201","ErrorInfo":{ "ErrorMessage":"Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource.","ErrorValue":null,"TraceCorrelationId":"2a47fd9c-c07b-1000-cfb7-cdffbe3ab83a","ErrorCode":-2147024891,"ErrorTypeName":"System.UnauthorizedAccessException" },"TraceCorrelationId":"2a47fd9c-c07b-1000-cfb7-cdffbe3ab83a" } Now the user is global admin. I also added again that user as site collection admin. The same piece of code works fine on other site collections (search site collection, any newly made site collection...). h
