am using the host tftp server to upload files into my embedded boards. This time i upgraded do Snow Leopard and tftp test tftp server linux does not work anymore.I always have the following message: Host Error: Access violation.I tried many thing but i can not solve this puzzle. The following is what i tried:1) chmod 777 all the folder and https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/10545531/unable-tftp-software-asa-series-firewalls files;2) Allow all users to conect the TFTP folder (in System Preferences);3) Firewall is on now, but even with firewall off I have the same problem;3) I tried to check the file tftp.plist (System/Library/LaunchDaemons) and i noticed two major differences: a) It was written DISABLED and b) the flag was for secure -s. Well i root and changed the file with ENABLED and -i insecure, but nothing changed. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2308004?tstart=0 The strange thing also is that after i star the computer the back to its normal like the changes i made weren't saved, but i was root and they saved.I am also using the TFTP Server 3.3.1 from Mr Fabrizio Larosa. Permissions and other stuff are ok when using this software.Am i forgetting something special? Can somebody help me? I do not know what to do anymore. Thanks volks. on September 10, 2015 by networkshinobi Here is a short post. I was upgrading my https://networkshinobi.wordpress.com/2015/09/10/upgrading-cisco-asa-from-osx-yosemite-access-violation/ ASA 5505's firmware, and encountered an error stating (Access violation) http://networking.bigresource.com/Cisco-copy-tftp-flash-and-copy-flash-tftp-not-working--jyZZn1MvN.html BFWASA# copy tftp://10.1.1.100/asa846-k8.bin disk0: Address or name of remote host [10.1.1.100]? Source filename [asa846-k8.bin]? Destination filename [asa846-k8.bin]? Accessing tftp://10.1.1.100/asa846-k8.bin... %Error reading tftp://10.1.1.100/asa846-k8.bin (Access violation) BFWASA# The fix for this is: Navigate to firmware location on your OSX Click on the firmware in access violation question and press command + i This should open the Get Info window. Now, scroll down at the very bottom, and change the everyone access from No access to Read only That should fix the (Access violation) when transferring a file via TFTP server.
