Hello, this is from the PDM Q&A: Q. Is there a limitation on test tftp server linux the size of the configuration that Cisco PDM can handle? A. Cisco recommends that you use Cisco PDM with configuration files that are 100 KB (approximately 1500 lines) or less in size. Not sure if that makes a https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/thread/39064 difference, but you might want to try this TFTP server (which is recommended by Cisco): http://tftpd32.jounin.net/ HTH, Naz nazgulero, Dec 5, 2005 #2 Advertisements AM Guest Re: Access Violation error while saving config from PIX through PDMto a TFTP server. nazgulero wrote: > Hello, > > this is from the PDM Q&A: > > Q. only takes a few minutes. Join Now Hi All, I was hoping this issue would be resolved in the RTM version of 5.0 but it looks like there was no help there. I was wondering if anyone else has had issues setting up network configuration backups with their ASA 5505 device. Everything seems to be set up correctly in Spiceworks (SSH account, Enable account, both set up with necessary login info). I was able to log into SSH from the Spiceworks server with no issues which takes any ASA configuration problems out of the mix. I watch the logs in the ASA as I initiate a scan from Spiceworks and it looks like it's connecting, but on the Spiceworks side, all I get is that the scan detected it was an SSH computer but could not connect resulting in a scan error. (Grrrr) I've tried on two different ASA's and it just doesn't work. Any advice?? Brian did a great job fixing issues with devices that were not backing up correctly. I just put an ASA 5505 on my network so I will be testing this in the near future. 0 Mace OP BernardW Oct 18, 2010 at 2:44 UTC Looks like most of the ASA 5505 is backing up correctly but there is a time out error. I will ping Brian G about this topic. Log files are attached to this post 0 Mace OP BernardW Oct 18, 2010 at 2:53 UTC Ok so I am running version 7.2(3) and the command set is using the copy running-config instead of write net It looks like this version (at least) of the ASA uses the PIX command set. Therefore it will not work on this version of Spicework
