Solution: If you are encountering Access Violation errors with Pro Tools SE on Mac OS X, download and run the patch linked below. Download Pro Tools SE 8.0.3 Patch 003 (Mac) Double-click to mount the disk image Dobule-click to run the file PT_SE_Fix_003 A few seconds later a dialog box will appear and say "Your Pro Tools software is up to date"; click OK. Note: This patch also updates Pro Tools SE for Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) compatibility; and also fixes an issue where Pro Tools SE would not launch if Shockwave had ever been installed on the computer.
