Join Now PXE-T04: Access Violation PXE-E36 Error Received from TFTP server PXE-M04 Exiting boot agent Hi everyone I seem to be getting these https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2024414 every time I try to pull down from my wds, I configured 2 things that I could think of through dhcp which is on a different server but the same subnet 66 being my wds server ip, and 67 which I not exactly sure what to put in the field since I store the images on a different drive letter. Im https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/758949-wds-deployment-pxe-errors really at a stand still and I am not sure where to go from here. If anyone could suggest some things I am all ears. Thanks! We have WDS installed on Server 2008 R2 but it's likely the same for Server 2012. Option 66 should point to your WDS server. Option 67 should specify the boot file name. In our environment: Text067 Bootfile Name String Value: boot\x86\wdsnbp.com The drive letter on the server isn't important as you have to setup a share on the WDS server that contains your boot and install images. 1 Sonora OP Jason2721 Jan 27, 2015 at 2:07 UTC Hmm ill give that another go then, not sure if anyone else has so
SYMPTOM When being started, the PXE client comes up with the PXE copyright message and completes the DHCP phase, but then displays: PXE-E36: access violation Error received from TFTP server Depending on the PXE client's system setup boot device list configuration, the PC then either stops or tries to boot from the next boot pxe-t04 access violation device in the system setup boot device list. CAUSE The "PXE-E36" error indicates that the PXE client received a TFTP error packet from the TFTP server. This means that the TFTP server has encountered an error of some sort, and wants to inform the PXE client about this. RESOLUTION If the PXE client does not display a textual error message, check the TFTP server log. This should contain more detailed information about the error and what might have caused it.
