The answers I have seen given on this site and others are from people that do not have an account, guessing or simply don't know. I was able to get my account to work about several months ago. Don't ask me how. I have Gmail, Hotmail, Shawmail, Yahoo, and my email
a problem. I sign on to Gmail; my inbox shows up; a few seconds later, a yellow banner appears above the list of emails: “Importing contacts from xXX@sbcglobal.net requires another confirmation step. Proceed or cancel contacts import.” I click on Proceed; I get a message with att.net | Yahoo! in upper left corner: Authorizing accessShuttleCloud Migration, hosted at api.shuttlecloud.com, is requesting access to the following: Yahoo! Contacts You will allow this application to view, import, and store your contacts data from your Yahoo! Contacts. This will also enable the application to change your Yahoo! By accepting, this application will be able to read your Profile information marked as public or shared with Connections. I agree to the Yahoo Additional Terms of Service. Please log out of all non-Gmail email accounts and start import again. Please close this window and restart the authentication process. I close the window; display goes back to my inbox. Sometimes when I come back to the inbox, an email from my sbcglobalemail has been forwarded. If I go to sbcglobal, there is nothing in the inbox but that email shows up in the trash. All sent emails and all received emails are in the various folders. I found this site: https://www.redstampmail.com/resources/configuring-gmail-to-pull-mail/sbcglobal.net/ It talks about changes tomake to pull from sbcglobal. I followed those procedures and then 2 emails that were addressed to sbcglobal went to Gmail. In Gmail neither show grayed rectangle with sbcglobal.net. However, both went to sbcglobal’s trash; neither was archived on sbcglobal. I still have the yellow banner at the top and the cycle starts again. What’s the solution to this? Please bear in mind that I’m a senior citizen with limited computer knowledge. r
