Corrupted Cabinet File Windows 7
5 error 1335 : Data1.Cab corrupt I am using InstallShield 12 Premier Edition for creating installation package for our software which uses .Net 2.0. When the setup is created in the 'Uncompresed Mode', the installation on different machines goes smoothly, but the when created using the compressed mode (having .Net framework and Windows installer to be extracted from setup.exe, which is approximately of about 450 MB), in some computers during the installation while copying files progress bar the cabinet file required for this installation is corrupted is there, it displays the 'Error 1335: The cab file DATA1.CAB is corrupt. This could indicate a network problem or accessing a CD or a network location or a problem with the package.' What can be the possible cause of this ? The setup creation takes about One and Half hours. This error gets displayed not at a particular copying position but at different different positions durring each attempt. The same setup works fine on some other compters. Plz. Help !!!! Microsoft had pushed a critical update sometime in 2005 that included an updated version of cabinet.dll that fixes these types of errors. If this is on machines other than Windows 2000, are you able to open and extract the contents of the CAB file referenced in the error message with WinZip or a similar utility on that machine? I've had a similar issue in the past where local security policies prevented the installation of software from CDROM drives. [8D] Keep cool.
