The main snmpwalk timeout no response from issue we're having is that we can't get SNMP to produce any information. For example, we installed SNMP service on a Windows 2003 server. We added this server and used the built-in Server-Servers-Win2K3 Template. We modified the template SNMP setting to reflect our community string (did not use public) and the version which Windows uses (2c). We also modified Administration => Options => SNMP settings => Global Community to reflect our SNMP community as

well as the version. To ensure the settings got "reset", we restarted the entire server. From the Centreon2.1/Nagios3 server, I can snmpwalk the server but Centreon reports the following errors: ERROR when getting SNMP version : No response from remote host ERROR: hrStorageDescr Table : No response from remote host For what it's worth, I have read several posting and have attempted various fixes but I'm still getting the errors. Any assistance/guidance given is greatly appreciated! Many have 1 and public as default. Also, you can try to manually run the plugin from /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/ and see if it works. I checked the CPU service and here's what I found. CPU uses a service template SNMP-Windows-CPU. The Check Command is check_centreon_cpu with !$USER2$!80!90 as the arguments. If I run this via command line, it runs perfectly. I double-checked the SNMP Community name everywhere I could think of and it's defined perfectly. I found another posting that stated t
Server Monitoring Rogue Detection Bandwidth Monitoring Wake On LAN Cisco Config File Manager Network Monitoring Device not responding to SNMP Queries Problem You get an error as "No response to snmpwalk linux SNMP queries" when: Adding a Switch in the Switch Port Mapper tool snmpwalk timeout no response from remote host Adding a Router in Switch port Mapper or Rogue Detection tools Adding a Cisco Router/switch in the Config File Manager

tool Adding interfaces to the Bandwidth Monitor tool Cause You may encounter this problem, due to any one of the following reasons: When SNMP is not enabled in the device When the https://forum.centreon.com/forum/centreon-use/setup/10105-can-t-get-smnp-to-work-error-when-getting-snmp-version given SNMP Community string is incorrect Due to access restrictions Resolution Check whether the device has SNMP access Check whether the device model supports SNMP management - you need to check in the device manual or with the vendor's website If it supports SNMP, check whether SNMP has been enabled. For example, in Cisco Devices, the command to enable SNMP through CLI (telnet) is: Router https://www.manageengine.com/products/oputils/snmp-community-failure.html (config)# snmp-server community Read_Only_Community_Name ro Router (config)# snmp-server community Read_Write_Community_Name rw Router(config)#exit Then save the changes: Router#write memory Check whether the given SNMP Community is Correct The SNMP community string is case sensitive - check for correctness If you are not sure what the community is, check with your administrator. Most devices have the default community as "public". If you have telnet access to the device, you can check the community by using the show run command from the enable mode(for cisco devices) and checking for strings beginning with "snmp-server community". Check the Access Lists The devices can be configured to accept SNMP queries only from specific IP Addresses. Check and ensure that the computer where OpUtils is installed is not restricted.
