to play online music. I have flash installed, and youtube videos work, but music doesn't. When I speaker test cannot find card 0 try to play a song, I get these errors from alsa:ALSA lib confmisc.c:768:(parse_card) cannot find card '0'ALSA lib conf.c:4154:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_card_driver returned error: No such file or directoryALSA alsamixer cannot open mixer: no such file or directory lib confmisc.c:392:(snd_func_concat) error evaluating stringsALSA lib conf.c:4154:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_concat returned error: No such file or directoryALSA lib confmisc.c:1251:(snd_func_refer) error evaluating nameALSA lib conf.c:4154:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_refer returned error: No such file or directoryALSA lib conf.c:4633:(snd_config_expand) Evaluate error: No such file or directoryALSA lib pcm.c:2211:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM defaultALSA lib pcm_hw.c:1399:(_snd_pcm_hw_open) Invalid value for cardInterestingly, these errors show up in my

root terminal, NOT my regular user terminal, where I ran firefox from. And I have used alsaconf to configure my sound card. This might be a related problem: when I run alsamixer as regular user, I get the error: "cannot open mixer: No such file or directory"thanks in advance for the help!
