Before i start describing the problem, here is my system configuration:Dell Inspirion n5110 with sandy bridgeVideo:IntelnVidia 540Mram 4GB ddr3hdd WD 360 GBSo i installed Arch linux 07.2013, the tmxgta version, which is more noob friendly, from http://sourceforge.net/projects/tmxgta/ … rce=navbar. And i got till the point where i installed the x server using the packages xorg-server, xorg-utils, xorg-xinitIt has prompted me https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1743535&page=130 what type of video libgl would i like: mesa, nvidia-304xx-utils, nvidia-libgl, i selected mesa, and it all went to hell, i could not run startx, then i installed everything i could from bumblebee till primus, bbswitch, and nouveau. It didn't work. Then i uninstalled everything including X. And i started again, this timr i selected nvidia-libgl, and afetr the installation succeeded i ran nvidia-xconfig, and all seemed fine, when running startx the same https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=167097 errors wait for me in /var/log/Xorg.0.log:No devices detectedNo screes found.I have read through all the material a google search could bring up related to the topic, but i really fail to see what the solution is. Any help would be appreciated.Cheers! Where did you download the install medium? All the best,-HG "All errors are ᴘᴇʙᴋᴀᴄ errors—It's just a matter of narrowing down which keyboard and chair." -Trilby\ldots Offline #3 2013-07-22 23:50:17 Trilby Forum Moderator From: Massachusetts, USA Registered: 2011-11-29 Posts: 14,299 Website Re: Installation - xorg server issues I suspect that is the 2013-07 iso (or however it is labeled), but that is not "version 7", it's just this months iso.Blackmail, could you chose a more descriptive title for this thread - you'll likely recieved a more warm response for doing so, and also you'll attract users with the relevant experience to help setting up your video driver(s).You say you have Intel and nvidua 540M, could you also provide the output of `lspci -vnn | grep -i vga` Interrobang • Slider• How's my coding?
