Microsoft Access Database Engine Error '80004005'
is driving me nuts! I have a workaround in place but would like to get this fixed permanetly. I am running Server 2003 x64, the site ran fine for months without a problem. Suddenly the problem appeared and not sure what caused it. When my .asp file tries to access an Access database I get this error: Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005' Unspecified microsoft access database engine unspecified error error /vest_gallery_back.asp, line 11 Line 11 refers to: Conn.open "PROVIDER=MICROSOFT.JET.OLEDB.4.0;DATA SOURCE=c:\websites\bbt\data\BlackTie.mdb" I verified that my IIS is running in 32bit mode. I have checked permissions for IUSER_computername has full control, checked my temporary environment variable (C:\WINDOWS\TEMP) Any ideas what the problem may be? Thanks for any help that may be offered! If you're using the default settings then you need to add 'Network Service' with modify perms. If you're using app pool impersonation then you'll need to add that particular user with modify perms to the access database.
