Join them; it only takes a minute: Sign up Passive Installation with WIX Toolset - Error 2726: Action not found: WelcomeDlg up vote 0 down vote favorite I created a WIX-Setup for my webservices with the help of this tutorial: http://blogs.planetsoftware.com.au/paul/archive/2011/02/20/creating-a-web-application-installer-with-wix-3.5-and-visual.aspx I used Visual Studio 2012 and Wix 3.8. The msi is started by a Wix Bootstrapper. The Installation works perfectly, all default-propertys are set right and on update they are read from the registry. My problem is that the installation is aborted when I use the "/passive" parameter. The dialogs can't be loaded and the propertys aren't set anymore. DEBUG: Error 2726: Action not found: WelcomeDlg The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2726. The arguments are: WelcomeDlg, , I wonder why it happens. Any ideas? To create that dialog, I have just copied the code of WiX porgress dialog. I did that because I couldn't call WiX progress dialog after the 'InstallDir' dialog. That error doesn't occur when I remove 'MyProgressDlg'. But if I do that, my dialog sequence will be something like this, Welcome dlg -> Licences Agreement dlg -> InstallDir dlg -> Verify Ready dlg -> Finish Is it po
