Average Rating 0 3100 views 04/14/2015 Software Deployment Adobe Adobe Reader Adobe Acrobat Windows Installer Transforms (MST) I have setup a managed install and am using override default installation and and don't prepend msiexec.exe using the following commandmsiexec.exe /i AcroRead.msi TRANSFORMS="AcroRead.mst" /qn /log "C:\temp\package.log"It installs the application but does not apply the transform ... any ideas why this would be ? The package log says:Property(S): TRANSFORMS = C:\ProgramData\Dell\KACE\downloads\7518\AcroRead.mstProperty(S): CLIENTUILEVEL = 3Property(S): VersionDatabase = 300Property(S): CLIENTPROCESSID = 852Property(S): PackagecodeChanging = 1Property(S): MsiLogFileLocation = C:\temp\package.logProperty(S): CWProvXMLFile = 0MSI (s) (70:3C) [14:40:39:632]: Product: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC -- Installation operation completed successfully.which indicates that it knows https://answers.acrobatusers.com/Adobe-Reader-XI-11-0-05-installed-Error-code-1638-q118620.aspx about it ..... any ideas ? 5 Comments [ + ] Show Comments Comments rileyz 1 year ago Have you tried this via command line with KACE? Bit weird thats its not applying, did you use the Adobe customisation tool to produce the MST? KiwiJJ 1 year ago Yes, I used the Adobe customization tool to create the MST. If I log into the machine and run the http://www.itninja.com/question/adobe-transform-not-applying-using-managed-install same command manually it works fine. I don't want to script it, I would prefer to use managed install. KiwiJJ 1 year ago last edited 1 year ago So I tried to just use the setup.exe as the setup.ini has the transform information and when I run it manually from the Kace download directory on the PC it works fine. But when I get the managed install to do it, it installs the application but still has not applied the transform ..... frustrating :( KiwiJJ 1 year ago Looks like the transform is working, just not the registry part of it. It is not adding the registry keys that are part of the MST, If I create a .reg file and run it, it adds the keys fine. Badger 1 year ago that is weird. So the MSI and MST is fine outside of KACE. Using the Setup.exe (with the ini is OK) also, the MSI and MST is now working through KACE just NOT the registry part?? weird. is ALL of the registry failng? Or just the software\policies part?? rileyz 1 year ago Humm bit weird. Let start from the start. Test the MSI and MST on a plane jane Win7 machine, go here http://www.qwer
Installer (MSI) OpenText eDOCS DM OpenText Hi, I've http://www.itninja.com/question/transform-issues been working on a Transform for OpenText eDocs DM Extensions 5.3 It comes with a vendor MSI, which I've created a https://connectedenterprise.wordpress.com/2011/09/12/office-2010-professsioanl-x86-sp1-installation-error/ Transform for.. When I add in all the appropriate Properties to enable the features in the application, that works.. When I debug error add in custom HKCU keys and add a key path, then try to install the application it does not work anymore.. I get the following errors... It's strange because it works fine until I set the key path on one of the debug error 2746 Registry keys.. "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid."
