New Win7 64bit clients with Office 2007 32bit installed are ALL getting these 3 patches offered for installation, and they always fail. Digging deeper into this and trying to manually install them I am getting this from the installation log: MSI (s) (60:D8) [14:07:29:163]: TRANSFORM: Modifying 'File' and 'Patch' rows added by this patch transform to have appropriate 'Sequence' values. Verify that the package debug error 2746 exists and you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.".I found out that Office XP comes with Windows Installer 1.10. Windows XP comes with Windows Installer 2.0. Ok version conflict right? So I looked for the all the Installer exes that didn't have the same version number on both my hard drive and my network install.I deleted and replaced them with the 2.0 version. Viola it worked...at least for Office XP.Now I try to run this administrative install for Office 2000 on the same Novell server and get the same error. I did download the Installer patch from Install Shield update this did not resolve the issue. After checking the install log I get this "Debug Error 2746".Since I already have Windows Installer 2.0 on my pc the Windows Installer Cleanup utility will not work. Is there a Windows Installer Cleanup utility for Windows XP?Any insight would be helpful.Thank you. MattS Contributor (8) Jun 9, 2010 3:11amHi,The information I can find on error 2746 is that is a disconnect due to a TCP RESET. The RESET usually happens due to the IVE or devices between the IVE and NC. A tcpdump on the IVE external port and NC ethernet port will find out where the RESET is comin
