Phone Book access problem - Error 624 Phone Book access problem - Error 624 New 25 Mar 2007 #1 Dave Bolt Guest Phone Book access problem - Error 624 I have just set up a broadband dialup on a new Vista PC. There are now three dial-ups on the machine, but none of them will remember the password and all users option. I did eventually get one of the connectoids to remember the password and this user. Vista was giving an error 624, Cannot update phonebook. There are two users, at least one is an administrator. The only knowledge base article I found related to XP, and was aimed primarily at being https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/812442 unable to create the phonebook. Any ideas? Thanks Dave My System Specs You need to have JavaScript enabled so that you can use this ... New 17 Aug 2009 #2 lippo Guest Re: Phone Book access problem - Error 624 I had the same problem. Finally I managed to rid of it by copying the rasphone.pbk - file from my friends' computer, which also had Vista OS. I replaced my (damaged?) rasphone.pbk file with http://www.vistax64.com/vista-account-administration/51269-phone-book-access-problem-error-624-a.html the new one and internet started working. I'm using the E169-model of Huawei usb-modem (Virgin Broadband). The rasphone.pbk-file is in "C:\Users\All Users\Microsoft\Network\Connections\Pbk" I also restarted my computer for a number of times and installed some updates, so I really don't know which one really did the trick... The Internet has continually grown in technology, stature, and reach as more and more people connect on a daily basis. Email, instant messenger, and blogs are very much in the fore of many computer user's minds and, as such, the latest incarnation of the Windows operating system aims to combine all of these tools in one easy and intuitive interface. Vista has been dubbed the greatest looking and the most feature rich of all Windows operating systems but it offers much more than this. In light of the increased power of newer computers Vista is a highly capable platform, although it can be guilty of being very processor reliant.
