(not the remote http://www.justanswer.com/tv-repair/25qhw-attention-015-acquiring-sattelite-notice-screen.html control). This should perform a HARD boot reset. It should come back on within about 30 seconds. If it does not. Hold it down for another 10 seconds and it should eventually come up.It should progress through the normal aquiring satelites message and the start the 1 of 5 etc.Make sure that the cables are Tight on the DISH and also on the Receiver. Also make sure that the connectors are tight at the ground block which may (or should) be installed right before the cable enters the house. (it looks like a splitter that oes not split). If you wish, you may disconect a cable one at a time so that you do not forget exactly where it goes and check to see that the cable end is clean and not corroaded. Also make sure where the cable connects to is also clean and not corroaded.Sometimes the sheer act of unscrewing it, taking it off, and putting it back on with fix and bad connection. (which will also fix a can not fins sat problem).Do you have a surge protector plugged into the receiver. I would do that ASAP.This will filter out power line noise and also protect your receiver. If it continues, you will need to call dish network and let them know of the problem. either froze or provided them with a specific error message. This does not mean that the receivers have stopped working and need to http://gwdish.com/articles/2010/Performing-a-Reset-Function-on-Your-DISH-Network-Receiver.html be replaced. Fear not, a lot of these small glitches can be resolved with a simple receiver reset. Just like a regular computer which might temporarily freeze its functions and be restarted, https://www.techwalla.com/articles/dish-hd-dvr-receiver-problems the DISH Network receivers might freeze as well. If you have noticed that your receiver’s video feed (picture) has froze, or if you continue receiving audio but the video has disappeared, dish network simply reset your receiver. A typical reset should not take more than five minutes to complete and restore your receiver’s functions. In addition, if you do not see any picture on your television set, but are able to see the name of the program and the channel number, a reset will help to solve this problem. Furthermore, if you have gotten an “Error dish network error Code 015” on your television screen indicating that the receiver is “Acquiring Satellite Signal”, a reset might resolve this problem as well. There are two types of a reset that customers can perform on their DISH Network receivers. The first reset is sometimes called a “soft reset”, which is the Front Panel Reset. All you need to do is come up to your receiver, open up the latch on the front panel, which is usually located to the side of the receiver. Once the latch has been opened, locate the “power” button and press it for approximately 5-10 seconds until the receiver turns itself off and then automatically restarts itself. The reset will then take approximately 5 minutes to complete and should restore function. If the “soft reset” does not fix the issue, a “hard reset” should be performed. Locate the power cord at the back of your receiver. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for approximately 10-15 minutes. After this time has passed, plug the cord back in. Once again a 5 minute reset will commence. If the problem persists even after a “hard re

Each receiver shared a commonality among the top five technical issues, as reported by customers. If you currently have a Dish Network HD DVR receiver, then it is easy to recognize known issues. Dish Network receivers are designed to report error codes and information to the viewer on the television screen, which can be researched via Dish Network’s online Tech Portal or by calling their technical support hotline.Error Code 002 and 015Error 002 and 015 results when there is signal degradation or loss. Typically, this is caused by bad weather, movement of the actual dish, or a bad coaxial cable in the installation. In order to troubleshoot these errors, first determine if bad weather is the culprit, specifically snow, rain or heavy cloud coverage. If so, then once the storm passes the error will correct itself. If the actual dish was recently moved, then perform a signal strength test from your receiver’s on-screen menu. On your receiver’s remote, press “Menu” and navigate to “System Setup,” “Installation,” and “Point Dish.” Enter your ZIP code and follow the on-screen instructions. Satisfactory signal strength should steadily rest between 80 and 100 for the best image quality. You may need to physically move the external dish to pick up the necessary signal for the HD receiver to correct the error code.If your signal strength is satisfactory, then physically inspect all connections from the dish to the receiver. If you suspect a section of coaxial cable is damaged within the wall, then you may need to call a technician for assistance. If you find a portion of damaged cable, then replace it with a new one.Error Code 004This multidish error usually occurs when switching between HD and SD channels. The best strategy to troubleshoot this error is to change the channel by pressing the up or down channel button. If it occurs on the next channel, then power-off the system and unplug it from the wall. After 15 seconds, plug the receiver back in and power on the unit. If the problem persists, run a switch test by pressing “Menu” on the receiver's remote, and then navigating to “System Setup,” “Installation,” “Point Dish,” “Check Switch,” then “Test.” If bad weather is not in the area, save the new switch information.
