Dvd Shrink 3.2 Has Stopped Working
View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message Member Join Date : Apr 2006 Location : United States Hi: I decided to rip a copy of a movie I just bought recently because I've watched quite a few times and don't want the ruin the original with the constant viewing. Anyway, after ripping the movie I attempted dvd shrink alternative for windows 8 to use DVD Shrink to put the movie onto a disc that I can use for frequent viewing, unfortunately I seem to have run into a problem with DVD shrink and wonder if I can get some help figuring out how to fix the problem. Any assistance would be appreciated. I guess I should have mentioned in my first post that I did use DVDFab to rip the DVD. I also used FixVTS and it seemed to be successful...until I attempted to use DVD Shrink and then I got that error message from the above p

Dvd Shrink Alternative For Windows 10
Hi, I have been using DVD Shrink 3.2 successfully but have run into a problem. In
Dvd Shrink Windows 7 64 Bit
trying to copy a DVD I got an error message that says "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue" "programming error - exception occurred" dvd shrink 3.2 instructions "the handle is invalid". Then the program closes. Any thoughts on what this error might be and how to fix it? I would greatly appreciate your help. galoretn 12-03-2006 #2 drcy CD Freaks Senior Member Join Date: Feb http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/320804-DVD-Shrink-Error-Programing-Error-exception-occurred 2006 Location: Lost in Transition Posts: 237 Re: Problems with DVD Shrink 3.2 DVD Shrink is no longer supported and so newer movies have encryption systems that it can not decode. What movie are you trying to burn? For movies that DVD Shrink can't handle, you will have to use other programs like DVDFabDecrypter (free) or AnyDVD to decode the entire movie onto your HD first and then use Shrink to re-author and burn as necessary. __________________ NEC 3550A in an external Bytecc 320U2F http://club.myce.com/f34/problems-dvd-shrink-3-2-a-170438/ (PL-3507 Chipset) enclosure using USB 2.0 My Current Media Inventory: Sony DVD-R 1-8x TYG02: 42 Sony DVD+R 1-8x YUDENT02:96 Verbatim DVD-R 1-16x MCC03RG: 48 Memorex DVD+R 1-16x RicohJPNR03: 7 TDK DVD-R 1-16x TTH02: 5 Total = 198 Memo to self: "Read and You Shall Find The Answer" 12-03-2006 #3 galoretn New on Forum Join Date: Dec 2005 Posts: 19 Re: Problems with DVD Shrink 3.2 I am trying to burn the Bourne Supremacy. It is an older movie from 2004 so I don't think it would be the encription as I have burned movies from 2005. I did clean the disk and it started to work but only got to 3% encoding and then it quit. I did burn another movie after and it worked just fine. It might just be the disk. 12-03-2006 #4 geno888 Retired Senior Moderator, Editor and Guru Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Italy Posts: 29,198 Re: Problems with DVD Shrink 3.2 Quote: Originally Posted by galoretn "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue" "programming error - exception occurred" "the handle is invalid". Do this happen only with that movie? Do shrink works with other movies? It seems that shrink became corrupt in some way. Try to uninstall and reinstall shrink again. 12-03-2006 #5 scoobiedoobie CDFreaks Resident Join Date: Oct 2005 Posts: 3,163 Re: Problems with DVD Shrink 3.2 Quote: Originally Posted by galoretn I am trying to burn the Bourne Supremacy. 2006, 04:18I keep getting this error "Programming error - exception occurred" during the Deep Analysis part of DVDShrink (latest version). I read this FAQ ( http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?threadid=48842 ) thought it might be ARccOS, or sme other copy protection scheme. So I tried using the following programs http://forum.doom9.org/archive/index.php/t-113805.html to rip the DVD's to hard drives and then load them up in DVD Shrink using "open files" -DVD Decrypter ver 3.5.4.0 -RipIt4Me ver 1.2.0.0 -DVDFab Decrypter They all resulted in the same error, "Programming error - exception occurred", duirng Deep Analysis at the same spot. The DVD is in great condition, no scratches or marks of any kind on it. And the DVD plays fine. This DVD is an old international film so its not on any of the lists of "uncopyable" DVDs. dvd shrink Can someone please help? EDIT: I will try RipIt4Me again, I dont think it completed successfully since it stopped after ripping using DVD Decrypter setarip_old21st July 2006, 07:51Hi!RipIt4Me ver 1.2.0.0You are using an outdated version. Go to ripit4me.org to obtain the latest version. What is the Title and Region of the DVD? encore209721st July 2006, 16:32I got the new version, it completed successfully. Running it through DVDShrink now. The DVD is MISSAMMA and it seems to be region free. EDIT: Same error in DVD Shrink, dvd shrink 3.2 same spot too, "Programming error - exception occurred", before it was at 99% now its at 100% so I guess its the same. EDIT^2: Tried Nero Recode on the DVD and it gave me an error as well. aaron1021st July 2006, 18:23Have you tried playing it from the hard disk to see if chokes at any point during playback? It would be interesting to see if the probem is in the source or something that only shows up in the transcoding (Shrink and Recode being much the same in their handling of DVD structure). If it plays okay, you might try the free version of DVD Rebuilder along with the included free transcoder, Rejig, to see if it is able to handle the material. encore209721st July 2006, 22:38The DVD plays fine. I will try using DVD Rebuilder (freeware) version. I am attempting to use the OneClick method. hope it works =) aaron1022nd July 2006, 00:05I just want to make sure you're tracking me. We want to make sure the ripped material on your hard drive is playing fine, not that the DVD itself plays fine on your PC. Best of luck. Hope it works. encore209722nd July 2006, 05:17Gotcha. I will rip it again using DVD Decrypter and see if it plays. I decided not to use DVD Rebuilder, was taking way too long, and I have like 30 DVD I wish to copy from a friend and I dont have that kind of time. :sigh: Dont know what to do.... a
