I have downloaded DVDFab and selected Main Movie from the left And nothing is happening When I try to select dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue out of memory the DVD which is in my DVD drive it does not show up...? Do I first need to use AnyDVD? Thanks 4 your help. SamMarie, Mar 26, 2008 #3 Crab56 Regular member Joined: Dec 10, 2007 Messages: 215 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 26 You do not have to use anydvd with DVD Fab. Does the DVD you are trying to copy play from your drive on computer ? When you start DVD Fab it should open the DVD for you to rip. Do you have another DVD to try to open witrh DVD Fab ? Maybe the disc itself is bad or the drive is not working. Crab56, Mar 26, 2008 #4 SamMarie Member Joined: Mar 23, 2008 Messages: 20 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 11 It was a BluRay disc, maybe that is why did not work? It would not play on PC. Do you know how to do a BluRay disc? In the meantime I am trying another DVD. Thanks SamMarie, Mar 27, 2008 #5 LOCOENG Moderator Staff Member Joined: Feb 4, 2005 Messages: 11,493 Likes Received: 2 Trophy Points: 118 You have to have a BluRay drive on your PC. DVD to my hard drive, and no VIDEO_TS.VOB was created. After checking the DVD there was no such file there either, so that makes sense. But DVD Shrink claims it can't find this file. Not a problem, I figure,
Dvd Shrink Failed To Read File
I'll just make a blank one (which has worked before) and then open it. Surprise! It
Dvdfab Decrypter
still claims it can't find the file. Is there any way to load the DVD in DVD Shrink without this file? Trying it ripit4me as an .ISO file didn't work either. 2COOL14th January 2005, 23:36Try doing a mock strip (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=84097) on your VIDEO_TS.IFO. blutach15th January 2005, 07:52This is strange behaviour from a commercial DVD. If 2COOL's method doesn't work (and it should), try ripping http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/dvd-shrink-error-failed-to-open-file.629846/ it again. If that still doesn't work, first save your IFOs in a different folder. Open VIDEO_TS.IFO in IfoEdit. First, find out how large your VIDEO_TS.IFO is (in kilobytes eg 40k). Half it (20) and subtract 1 (19). 1. Navigate to VMGM_MAT. 2. Enter the 19 (or whatever) at byte 0001c (last sector of VMGI - this should already be fine). 3. Now add half the size to that (39) and enter that at byte 000c (last sector of http://forum.doom9.org/archive/index.php/t-88323.html VMG). 4. Ensure byte 00c0 is 0. 5. Navigate to VMGM_C_ADT and make byte 0000 (number of VOBIDS) = 0 6. Save. 7. Hit Get VTS Sectors and you should be good to go. Regards Master Ninja15th January 2005, 08:27Thanks for the tips! The mock strip unfortunately isn't working; when I open VIDEO_TS.IFO, the "VOB Extras" button is blanked out. I followed your steps, blutach, and the DVD now previews correctly through IFOEdit, but I'm still getting the same error from DVD Shrink. blutach15th January 2005, 08:33You needed to do a Menu Extras mock strip, not VOB extras. I have added another step - do 5, 6 and 7 and try again. In fact, change eveything to 0 in VMGM_C_ADT - there's no VIDEO_TS.VOB, so there should be no cell address table. Good luck blutach15th January 2005, 09:02Couple of other things to try - disable DVD Region Free, if you have it on. Also, if you have changed the defaults in DVD Decrypter, changed them back and rip again. Some people have had luck in doing this. Regards Master Ninja15th January 2005, 09:14Still no dice. The menu extra mock strip didn't even create any new files, and changing the hex code you described had no effect. Thanks for your help, I'm gonna leave this DVD for now and come back to it later. I'll let you know if I figure out what the problem
