Dvd Shrink gets Out Of Memory error, how to fix? Discussion in 'DVD Shrink forum' started by TooMe, Jan 27, 2005. TooMe Member Joined: Jan 27, 2005 Messages: 2 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 11 I'm getting an error when I try dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue invalid dvd navigation structure to backup The Forgotten and I'm using DVD Shrink 3.2 ver.3.2.0.15 The error is: Out of Memory dvd shrink out of memory parameter is incorrect Not enough storage is available to process this command. DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. I have 512 MB ram and Max of 4095 dvd shrink encountered an error MB Virtual Memory on my drive. The whole movie is over 7 GB and I can rip it fine to the drive. I can even backup with DVD Shrink and do the whole movie omitting only languages and subtitles other than English. http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/forum/helproom-1/dvd-shrink-out-memory-error-202215/ I get Shrink to make a new directory of Video_TS files to 4.7 GB. However, when I try to just grab the first Title set of the movie, again omitting all languages and subtitles other than English, I get half way and the error "Out of Memory" pops up. The selected total video to backup is only 3,510 MB. And my HD's have more than 22 GB free before I start the process. The one thing I did notice was that when backing up the http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/dvd-shrink-gets-out-of-memory-error-how-to-fix.337682/ one title, Shrink reports during the backup that my "Buffered:" memory gets as far as 1,687 MB and the error comes up. But when I do the whole Disc it only reports "Buffered:" memory at 64 MB and doesn't seem to go over that from what I've observed, and it does a successful backup with over 7 GB with the same movie. What can I do to get Shrink to lock "Buffered:" memory access to under 1 GB? Or is the some sort of other problem with Out of Memory coming up? Here's what finally did: The Forgotten has 2 versions of the movie on it-the theatrical version and an extended one with an alternate ending. You need to use reauthor mode, I grabbed both movie titles, and (IMPORTANT!) change your start frame to where you see the Columbia logo. If you want both titles like I did you need to do this for both titles. That should solve your problem and your buffer should not get over 100 MB. If you notice your buffer go over that just cancel the backup and tr

Aside from the occasional can't decrypt with DVDshrink it has worked just fine, but since early 2011 it's been more often that I’ve run across the new CSS so about 30 days ago I started using Anydvd to rip my movies to backup. I have 3 very high performance PC's, and have Mirror Dvdshrink & Anydvd on all system, the first error I got was on my Windows 7 PC quad core. I tried uninstalling Dvdshrink and reinstalling it which worked for a couple backup jobs so I switched to another PC with XP thinking it was incompatibility problems with windows 7 and dvdshrink ((NOT)). It also happened on the other systems. I thought this very odd because never ever have I had this problem before, so I started to back step what I have done in the past few weeks, maybe it was windows updates, maybe it was Norton. So I backed out a few updates which had no effect on the problem, then I started thinking maybe another program

Click here to optimize your system performance and have it ready for DVD Shrink! Decryption problems/new copy protections Since development of DVD Shrink has been stopped in 2005 it cannot circumvent current copy protections schemes which may manifest in these errors/error messages: Movie playback starts in between or at the end and/or chapters do not playback in order Invalid File Structure Invalid Navigation Structure Out of memory Programming error - Exception occurred Parameter Incorrect Data Redundancy Check Error (CRC Error) The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error To remove such protections do a complete backup of such media to your HDD with (use Google): DVDFab HD Decrypter (free trial) AnyDVD (free trial) and then use Shrink to encode it as usual. Problems with Nero First of all DVD Shrink is a transcoder to shrink movie DVDs, using the Nero engine for automatic burning is just a bonus. Having said that, DVD Shrink works under Vista but Nero only from version 7.x and higher. If you insist on using bloatware but can't get it to work, uninstall both Shrink and Nero and reinstall (not just copy over exes!) Nero before DVD Shrink. After that make sure that Edit > Preferences > File I/O > Enable burning with Nero is checked. If that still doesn't work as well as nothing on this list use free Imgburn which is an advancement of the DVD Decrypter burning engine and uses the same command set. Therefore if want to keep automatic burning and have DVD Decrypter installed on your machine you can copy over 'ImgBurn.exe' and rename it to 'DVDDecrypter.exe' so Shrink uses it with 'ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter' selected as your backup target. Alternatively use the hacked DVD Shrink with ImgBurn. Of course you can also simply output to ISOs and manually add them to ImgBurn's queue. In case your HDD is still formatted with FAT32 instead of NTFS, DVD Shrink will bypass the 4 GB filesize limit automatically by outputting to multipart ISO (.i00, .i01, .i02, .mds) which mds can be burned with ImgBurn. Batch encoding/autoplay/command line Aparently DVD Shrink does not support command line parameters except for opening a DVD so if you wanna use it in your media center without a keyboard use autoplay, cmdDVDShrink or DVD Rip. In case you wanna encode several DVDs in a row unattended u
