I tried to open the file with dvd shrink and i get the UDF filesystem error. I opened it with isobuster to see whats in the iso it contains both Video_TS & Audio_TS files . Is it possible to fix it with ImgTool classic or any other way? sirB, Apr 26, 2006 #1 dialysis1 Regular member Joined: Mar 13, 2006 Messages: 4,367 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 46 The file format is incorrect. Try ripping it again. dialysis1, Apr 26, 2006 #2 laddyboy Regular member Joined: Jan 4, 2005 Messages: 4,188 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 46 Also some media won't play in some devices. Did you use good quality media for your backup? Best quality is Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, and Fuji and Sony labeled as Made in Japan. Did you follow any guides when doing the backup? Are you experienced at doing backups? If not, there are guides here: http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/guides.htm http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/tutorial007.html laddyboy, Apr 26, 2006 #3 sirB Member Joined: Nov 2, 2003 Messages: 32 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 16 i just copied the dvd from a friend he d/l it . When I went to finalize the disc, my recorder screwed up. I can tell the disc was recorded on and can watch the recorded video using VLC. I extracted the ISO with ISO Buster and http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/314967-How-can-I-salvage-ISO-with-invalid-UDF-File-Syetem cannot figure out how to open it in Shrink, etc. I get the error Invalid UDF File System. Is there anything I can do? I suspect it is because the disc was not finalized. Please help. If I were to use AnyVideoConverter, would I convert to NTSC DVD MPEG or MPEG-II? I finalize the disk so that it is ready to be copied onto a blank DVD disc. Next, I create an .iso image by using the latest version http://www.ozzu.com/mswindows-forum/dvd-backup-error-msg-invalid-udf-filesystem-t72154.html of DVD Decrypter (because if I try to open the disc using my DVD http://dvd.shrink.error.invalid.udf.filesystem.winfaults.net/ burner software, it comes up with an error message). This process completes successfully without any problems. Next, I try to open the .iso image in DVD Shrink 3.1 to backup the DVD, however I am getting this error message; "Invalid UDF filesystem". Is anybody aware of what this error message means? If so, is there any way dvd shrink that I can get around this problem so I can backup my DVD? Any suggesstions would be very much appreciated Squee77 Beginner Posts: 44Loc: Calif 3+ Months Ago You should try using fixVTS http://download.videohelp.com/FixVTS/Downloads.htm (removes bad sectors) and imgburn http://www.imgburn.com/ (highly updated for burning movies and recommended for all of you people that burn dvds) fixvts should take care of the problem just give it a try.
