This is how I done it. I rip the DVD with http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/369116-dvd-shrink-out-of-memory-error DVD Decrypter to my hard drive which leaves it compressed which exceeds 4.7GB, so after ripping I run it through DVD Shrink in full disc and not re-author and use automatic compression and than backup and burn with ImgBurn to 4.7GB SL DVDs. This time when compressing with DVD Shrink it goes down to 5 minutes remaining and gives an error. The name of the DVD is Deadwood Season http://club.myce.com/f34/out-memory-not-enough-storage-dvd-shrink-336748/ 1 Disc 2. How do I fix this error? 05-08-2014 #2 thor21344 MyCE Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Orlando Fl Posts: 442 I do not know anything about DVD Shrink, but a lot of programs require at least double the free space on a HDD to work, it uses a temp storage space and then the regular space to write the files, then will delete the temp storage after the final write. Out of memory. Not enough storage available to process this command." I used DVD Shrink a couple of times dvd shrink and this is the first time I ever encountered this error. My system has 2GB of RAM and my 146GB harddrive still has 56.6GB of space left. I also don't have any other applications on. I even used FixVTS and I still can't get it fixed.Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem? Logged gbeenie Ephialtes Posts: 7311 Liked: Prepare to die, obviously! Re: DVD Shrink 3.2: Getting "Out of Memory" Error « out of memory Reply #1 on: March 01, 2007, 10:55:53 PM » Is your big hard drive a "D:" drive? If so, it's possible that, at some point, the place the program stores temp files might have gotten switched to "C:" drive (I know my C drive wouldn't have the space). Also, if the "out of memory" message is referring to RAM, hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to see what processes are running. In this same vein, when was the last time you scanned for adware and malware? Logged "All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. In my case it was because I had a bad stick of RAM. Once I removed it from my computer, DVD Shrink worked fine.Basically whats happening is DVD Shink is trying to access a memory address on the RAM chip that is corrupt, and once it does that it spits back yo

I tune up regularly. defragging and the like using Compu-RX... have norton AV 2005 and usually disable it when encoding. MY External HDD receives consistently only about 65MB of the encoded file. (tried six times and the DVD Shrink fails!) Previously, was successfully using Windows XP Home SP 2 with DVD shrink on 250GB External USB 2.0 HDD. Both Unshrunk ISO and shrunk ISO files went to same 250 GB HDD. I Unclicked the indexing (t speed up slowdown problem) for memory and installed a memory software to help with memory management, upped the virtual memory to 1500mb min and 3000mb max, but problem may be DVD Shrink not windows. The bufffer doesn't seem to transfer files... Please give detailed assistance.
