Dvd Shrink 3.2 Error
Did anyone have "failed to write xxx.iso file, incorrect parameter" error message when you use dvdshrink? How do you fix this problem? 7th Aug 201304:00 #2 steeledragon View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message Member Join Date : Aug 2013 dvd shrink error failed to read file Location : Canada You can't! The software does not work on some external devices, such as a External Hardrive, etc... For it to work properly with shrink, you have to have it directly in a file on your computer for using it and then transfer it back where you had it or like to place it. This is the only way if you get the message of Incorrect parameter in DVD shrink. Try this and see! 7th Aug 201304:10 #3 dvd shrink and windows 10 Baldrick View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message Visit Homepage I'm a MEGA Super Moderator Join Date : Aug 2000 Location : Sweden Please check the date when you post. incorrect" It works fine with my 2 TB external HDs. Mr B, Debro or anyone else have a tweek for this? Many thanks for any help you can offer. If it is just to old to recognize that large of a HD, so be http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/221691-Incorrect-parameter-in-DVD-shrink it. I can send the shrunk files to a internal HD then transfer them over to the 3 TB for storage. __________________ It is better to have loved a short, than never have loved a tall! I am curious about what causes it also. Even if I uninstall and reinstall the program, it gave me the same error. 02-05-2013 #3 Kerry56 Administrator Join Date: Sep 2003 Location: West
dvd-decrpyter, I then use dvd shrink to compress it to dvd-r size. When I press the backup button though, it never has an option to burn it to a dvd-r. I have nero and all it has as an option is "hard disk folder" How would I get dvd shrink to burn it onto a dvd-r? Thanks trapvector29th February 2004, 20:22You can't make DVD Shrink burn the files to blank media. That's what Nero (among others) does. Taxious29th February 2004, 22:31So I just use dvd shrink to make another directory with the movie compressed then use a dvd burning program to use those files ? nyplayer29th February 2004, 22:33Taxious Look at DVD Shrink Under.. edit...preferences the file I/o tab make sure Nero is enabled. trapvector29th February 2004, 23:50The version of DVD Shrink I use is 3.0 Beta 5. The process I go through is to decrypt and save to the hard drive, reauthoring if necessary to make the file size under 4.7GB, then burning in Nero. If DVD Shrink incorporated burning in a later version, then I apologise for the misinformation.:) Taxious1st March 2004, 06:10My version of dvd shrink has burning on. That is what I was confused about. It's the next input field down that says "Select target folder for DVD output files:". writersblock291st March 2004, 07:26@Taxious DVD Shrink *should* offer you a choice via a drop-down menu as to where you'd like to burn your files. Even if you can enable Nero for burning, though, you'll still need a file on your hard drive for the processed files to ge into. Check to see if there's a little "down" arrow where it offers to burn the files to your hard drive. If it doesn't -- and your operating system does, indeed, recognise your burner -- you might try downloading the most current version, uninstalling the version you're running now, and reinstalling DVD Shrink using the most recent file.
