Dvd Shrink Out Of Memory Windows 8
want to start putting at least a small sub-set of my dvd collections onto it, using dvd shrink at 50% (after it analyzes it, i set only the larger .vobs to 50% and the rest i leave alone). i've been testing this process out since it seems to be the least amount of steps and fastest so far. and i want to see how each ripped video looks on my LG tablet to determine if the quality is satisfactory enough, however, after ripping dvd's, dvd shrink out of memory windows 7 i was issued the following error message and am not sure where the error is since my wdmycloud has 3TB space and i only added 4 dvd's at 50% to it. i am using dvd shrink and set the output to go directly to the 3TB drive over wifi, thus this scenario: laptop -> wifi -> netgear_router -> wdmycloud dvd shrink error message: --- // --- --- // --- --- // --- --- // --- --- // --- --- // --- --- // --- --- // --- dvd shrink encountered an error and can not continue Out of memory Not enough storage is available to process this command --- // --- --- // --- --- // --- --- // --- --- // --- --- // --- --- // --- --- // --- i tried to look up the remaining size of the folder on the wdmycloud (properties) but for the size is "0" and that can't be true. does anyone have a better clue why i am getting this and how to resolve ? I take it you are trying to dvd shrink decrypt this movie with DVDShrink? There are a lot of hits on Google that show this error when trying to decrypt newer movies. You must know that Shrink is hopelessly outdated as a decryption program and will only work with those movies that have simple CSS protection. Granted, there are a lot of movies with nothing more, but any advanced protection will stop DVDShrink. Decrypt to the hard drive with DVDFab HD Decrypter, or BDlot ISO out of memory Master. Either are free to use. Then compress with Shrink if you want. BDlot rips to an ISO, but you can open ISO's with Shrink directly by clicking Ctrl I. If you are working with a new release, with a very new encryption scheme, you may have to use one of the commercial programs. __________________ Guide for BD Rebuilder BD Rebuilder Guide for MP4 or MKV conversion AVStoDVD Guide 03-10-2011 #3 durkinjt MyCE Resident Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Red Bank, NJ Posts: 1,249 Quote: Originally Posted by Kerry56 I take it you are trying to decrypt this movie with DVDShrink? Click here to optimize your system performance and have it ready for DVD Shrink! Decryption problems/new copy protections Since development of DVD Shrink has been stopped in 2005 it cannot circumvent current copy protections schemes which may manifest in these errors/error messages: Movie playback starts in between or at the end and/or chapters do not playback in order Invalid File Structure Invalid Navigation Structure Out of memory Programming error - Exception occurred Parameter Incorrect Data Redundancy Check Error (CRC Error) The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error To remove such protections do a complete backup of such media to your HDD with (use Google): DVDFab HD Decrypter (free trial) AnyDVD (free trial) and then use Shrink to encode it as usual. Problems with Nero First of all DVD Shrink is a transcoder to shrink movie DVDs, using the Nero engine for automatic burning is just a bonus. Having said that, DVD Shrink works under Vista but Nero only from version 7.x and higher. If you insist on using bloatware but can't get it to work, uninstall both Shrink and Nero and reinstall (not just copy over exes!) Nero before DVD Shrink. After that make sure that Edit > Preferences > File I/O > Enable burning with Nero is checked. If that still doesn't work as well as nothing on this list use free Imgburn which is an advancement of the DVD Decrypter burning engine and uses the same command set. Therefore if want to keep automatic burning and have DVD Decrypter installed on your machine you can copy over 'ImgBurn.exe' and rename it to 'DVDDecrypter.exe' so Shrink uses it with 'ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter' selected as your backup target. Alternatively use the hacked DVD Shrink with
