It's been working fine for weeks and then all of a sudden this message pops up while the disc is being analyzed. I como utilizar o dvd shrink have no other programs running and did not make any recent changes to my computer, I had just burned a disc and everything was fine, then on the very next burn I got this message. Tried different discs and I got the same message. bonowaxx, May 25, 2005 #2 jer2911tx Guest i just gave up on that disc, every other one is working fine. i guess it's either a really dirty disc that i can't get clean or a bad pressing and the disc will play but not copy. i'm surprised at how little info i found on this error using the forum search. there is usually a handful of people that are somewhat familiar with every problem posted that try to help out - no takers on this error so far. i'm not sure this would be a media problem, at least not with the blank disc, possibly a problem with the source disc. check and make sure you have the most recent versions of shrink and decrypter, and try a different source disc and re-check yur preference settings. i just gave up on the source disc i had a problem with (Paycheck) and moved on, no problems with any others so far jer2911tx, May 26, 2005 #3 vurbal Administrator Staff Member Joined: Nov 30, 2002 Messages: 3,102 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 66 Go into DVD Shrink's Preference's and see if 'Enable overlapped I/O' is checked. If it is, uncheck it and see if that fixes the problem. Some people have reported problems us

However, when I try opening the disc in DVDShrink, I get this message: It happens regardless of whether I open from the DVD+R DL or if I rip to the hard drive first. Any ideas anyone? Nothing else is accessing the files. Have you tried ripping to an iso file with decrypter and then opening the iso? Maybe the iso file would be better than ripping all the individual files. Also you could try another transcoder like dvd2dvdr. There are other ones listed in the tools section on the left of the screen. Also you could google for the error and see if anything pops up. decrypting produces the error message http://forum.doom9.org/archive/index.php/t-71769.html that it can't read DVD drive and says: "Overlapped http://www.dvdshrink.org/history.php I/O operation is in progress" What's this about? Bad DVD? Thanks for any help. Hotdish:confused: LIGHTNING UK!28th February 2004, 22:44Are you using the latest version? 3.1.7 Beta 2 I believe?! As the program makes dvd shrink use of overlapped I/O, I fail to see why this would be a problem. I mean, it must cope with technology it uses - right? I'm not sure if dvdshrink reads this forum much. The topic/post might be better off in the o dvd shrink 'One click DVD backup solutions' forum. I'll give it a couple of days and then move it ;) Meanwhile, why dont you just rip with DVD Decrypter and then open it from your hdd in DVD Shrink instead of from the dvd drive itself? dvdshrink29th February 2004, 18:59You can enable or disable overlapped I/O in the DVD Shrink preferences (it doesn't make much difference on most systems). The error message can be misleading: it is the last error code returned by the operating system, and often seems to come up whether DVD Shrink is doing overlapped I/O or not! Follow LIGHTNING UK's advice and rip first to your hard drive with DVD Decrypter. This will usually solve the problem. vBulletin v3.8.9, Copyright ©2000-2016, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
