At the time I did not worry much and made the backup, but now I´m worried

about such issue. Why is that? Is there anything I can do to avoid this "region limitation change" from the recorder? In time, I use an LG 4120b. Please, help me guys. ddlooping14th September 2004, 17:42Hello beto666. :) Try deselecting "Check RPC2 drive region code when opening a DVD" in DVD Shrink "Edit >> Preferences >> File I/O" menu. P.S: "Everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.". ;) beto66614th September 2004, 21:41Way to

go ddlooping. But then I got the message depicted below. If I disable RPC2 then I have the region limit changing message again, this time I have only three changes left for the recorder. Don't you think it's better to use a region free prog - like DVD Region Free or AnyDVD? Thanks again for your time. ddlooping14th September 2004, 22:24Yep, you could either use a region-free software, or flash your burner with a region-free firmware. ;) http://tdb.rpc1.org/ castellanos14th September 2004, 23:33Originally posted by beto666 Don't you think it's better to use a region free prog - like DVD Region Free or AnyDVD? Of course!! Not only that, if you use for instance DVD Region+CSS Free, you could directly (without ripping before) use another program to do the transcoder job, like Nero Recode 2, Clone DVD or Instant Copy. That programs (DVD Region+CSS Free or Any DVD as well) have the virtue to shoot the signal to any video player or transcoder, not only Region Free but decrypted already... If you run this programs on the background, you will see in the DVD Shrink's preview window "Not encrypted". I think it is a nice tool. Greetings! :) nwg14th September 2004, 23:42You could use a free program called DVD43 v1.4. This removes the region just like AnyDVD. It is left running in the system tray while Shrink is running. It only works with Win XP or 2000 though. http://www.dvd43.com/ beto66615th S

THey are single-layer and supposedly region free already. However, when I put them in my Sony NS-315, I get the "Playback prohibited by area limitations" warning. So I created an ISO file in DVD shrink, then re-burned to a new blank DVD+R. Result? Same problem. This was also true whether I selected "Region free" http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/287622-Can-t-remove-region-restriction-using-DVD-Shrink-Work-arounds or "Region 1". I also chose "No Compression" and "Automatic" to see if that had any effect. It did not. Is there a workaround to this? Also, if this has been answered already, I would be happy with a link to other threads, and I apologize in advance for being too busy to search. I suspect it's a PAL DVD 25fps not the NTSC. 29.97 or 23.976 Most DVD players use the same error for that as regional restrictions. Otherwise, it would be odd that DVD Shrink wouldn't remove the regional restriction. You could also try DVD43 to overide the regional restriction. Or rip them first with DVDFab HD Decrypter. I'd also try the burned DVDs on a different player. Maybe the Sony has a problem. You can use Shrink on the copied files. James, Jan 31, 2014 #4 Mombojohn Member James said: ↑ Either use CloneDVD2, or use AnyDVD ripper to copy to folder.
