An error at boot-up: Fatal Execution Engine Error (0x7927baca) When you press the OK button, the following message from backupnotify.exe comes up: Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id = 0x6b8(1720), thread id = 0x6bd(1724) Click on OK to terminate the application. Click CANCEL to debug the application. When you click on CANCEL the following message is generated: Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a JIT debugger with the following command resulted in an error code of 0x2(2). Please check computer settings. cordbg.exe !a 0x6b8 Click on Retry to have the process wait while attaching a debugger manually. Click on Cancel to abort the JIT debug request. This error arose when I was trying to recover my new HP computer (hp pavilion a 320n) purchased on July 21, 2004. It seems to have arisen because of the HP printer/copier/scanner (hp psc 2175 all-in-one) connected to my computer... although a similar error was generated when I loaded my Kodak EasyShare CX4300 digital camera software. It was circumvented by following what the Kodak webpage suggests for such an error, i.e. close the Kodak icon in the tray go to My Computer select c:>Program Files > Kodak > Kodak EasyShare Software Right click on the Catalog folder and select rename change the name to CatalogOld Then restart EasyShare software. This work-around was successful. I need a similar thing for the HP software. Anything you can say or do to shed some light on this problem would be much appreciated. This will restore your installation and make the error message go away. -- vr795 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ vr795's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=41142 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=244661 http://forums.techarena.in Sponsored Links « Previous Thread | Next Thread » Thread Tools Show Printable Version Email this Page Display Modes Linear Mode Switch to Hybrid Mode Switch to Threaded Mode Posting Rules You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts vB code is On Smilies are On [IMG] code is On HTML code is OffTrackbacks are On Pingbacks are On Refbacks are Off Similar Threads Thread Thread Starter Forum Replies Last Post Re: Fatal Execution Engine Error (0x7927baca) intalling .NET Framewor
