I've googled the problem and while I found several results non of them were relevant http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/437678-team-fortress-2/42414066 to what's actually causing this. I even found an article in the steam knowledge base but it spoke of the same thing every other search result did, and that's user permissions with windows. I've done the following to try and get my server to open; Restarted Steam Restarted my computer Reinstalled Steam and TF2 DS Set Full Access permissions to all users in the group Users, and Administrators (this account is an administrative http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=691971 account) Went a step further and set Full Access permissions to the actual windows user account that I'm logged into. So I've come to the conclusion that it is not a user permission problem at all, but I've no idea as to what else it could be. I'm not really looking to have someone troubleshoot this for me, but rather looking for ideas as to what this possibly could be. If anyone knows of any programs, windows settings, etc that could be causing this problem, please just throw it out there. And if you would like more information, ask away and I'll be more then happy to reply with the requested information. Thanks 06-13-2008, 01:13 AM #2 soundfx4 Guest Posts: n/a Just thought I'd give it a shot in safe mode in case a 3rd party program was interfering, and the results are the same. I'm at a complete loss and am thinking about performing the one procedure that fixes all windows problems. If you attach an image and stick details of your problem in there too it will help. Anyway, give that a try and see what they come up with.
