Could Not Start The Service Mysql While Installing
a Windows 2003 64 bit system (with innodb). But during installation in the 'MySQL Server Instance Configuration Wizard' final page, 'Start could not start the service mysql error 0 Service' failed with the error 'The service could not be started'. But acutally the MySQL service is started, I can verify that by going to the 'services.msc'. Note: Prepare configuration and Write Configuration file get cannot create windows service for mysql error 0 windows 8 success during installation in the wizard. I have remove instance and uninstalled MySQL, and remove the MySQL directories and data dir .. restart system and try install again freshly.. I have tried these things several times but still not able to work with that. When I try to run Instance Configuration Wizard I get this error: Could not start the service MySQL. Error:0 I am to the point now that I would be happy just to have a cannot create windows fresh install of MySQL 5.5. I can repopulate the database after. Things I have tried: Restart the machine and try Instance Configuration Again Uninstall all MySQL software and making sure that there was no service and reinstall search registry to make sure there was no MySQL entries.
