to install Office 2010 Professional x86 on Windows 7 Ultimate x86. It failed with this windows 7 error 1303 setup cannot access the folder error: Error 1013. Setup cannot acess the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\EQUATION. Verify that the folder exists in your system and error 1303 adobe that you have sufficient permissions to update it. I tried dozens of times to take ownership of the folder, with no success for a very long time. I finally got it to work, and now

I'm getting a very generic error. It says that Office 2010 has encountered an error during setup, but it doesn't specify what error. There's not even a code. I created a new administrator account, and it gets the first error again. I also cannot access (or take ownership of) the EQUATION folder from that account. Does anyone know how to fix this error? It said to click on START, All Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt. In the window type: icacls "c:\ProgramData" /T /C /grant administrators:F then press ENTER. A list of changes will scrool by at the end close the window. I think if the error message refers to a different folder you can change ProgramData to the folder named in the error message.
