Windows 7: iTunes consolidate library fails: copy error 1303. Help needed 17 Dec 2012 #1 wagonface Windows 7 Professional 64bit 3 posts iTunes consolidate library fails: copy error 1303. Help needed I would be really grateful if anyone can help with the problem I am having consolidating my library. My itunes library is too large (120MB) for my Win7 laptop, so I bought a Synology https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXIAYlNKk3c DS212J NAS. I have created a new 'iTunes' folder on the NAS and mounted it on my laptop. Then I followed the official instructions on how to move my library: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1449 Attempt 1: some files get copied over, but then iTunes error box says files could not be copied, error -1303 Attempt 2: some files get copied over, but then iTunes error box says files could not be copied, error -1303 Attempt 3: some files get copied over, then BSOD crash on my http://www.sevenforums.com/software/269526-itunes-consolidate-library-fails-copy-error-1303-help-needed.html laptop All I could find is this website (http://www.error1303.com/) which says I need to give permissions to my 'program data' folder. I checked that last night it looks okay already. I can't give permissions to the new shared iTunes folder on the NAS. I haven't tried disabling the firewall and antivirus yet. I don't know what to do next. Can anyone help? Reset the iPod again. Change the Sync Settings on iTunes for the iPod to manual sync. Now you can add the music a few albums at a time. And see if it stops working after you add a certain album. 0 LVL 17 Overall: Level 17 Apple Hardware 13 Message Expert Comment by:xema2008-05-26 Under wich OS is ITunes running? On Vista you may have problem with the security settings when writing information to an USB device, IPod is an USB device. Also if you have MP3 files verify the bitrate it may be an incompatibility between the bitrate of the file and the IPod. 0 Message Author Comment by:airn2008-05-26 I am running Windows XP. 0 LVL 17 Overall: Level 17 Apple Hardware 13 Message Assisted Solution by:xema2008-05-27 Check the bitrate of the F
