Advertisement referee07 Thread Starter Joined: Sep 11, 2003 Messages: 1,230 I have been using Dragon Natural Speak 10 for several months and with in the last week, I have been getting an error message at computer start-up indicating that there was a problem with the program and that Windows needed to close it. Today I tried to use the CD to "fix" the problem (corrupt files??) but when the program had finished installing/fixing the problem, got the following message: "Error 1722. There is a problem with the Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action JustExit, location: C:\... \Natspeak.exe, Command: -JustExit. I checked on the Internet and saw that it might be a problems with Java so I downloaded the update but still got the same error message. I also bought a program "RegCure" that was supposed to fix the Error 1722, but no dice. I still have the problem. I don't any Windows installation discs because Vista came pre-installed. Does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks in advance to any help. Failing that there should be a repair/ recovery partition on the hard drive. May need to read instruction manual to see how to run it though. Maybe if completely uninstall Dragon NS, reboot and then re-install Dragon NS it may respond. Curiousclive, May 30, 2009 #2 referee07 Thread Starter Joined: Sep 11, 2003 Messages: 1,230 Curiousclive, thanks for the recommendations. I believe I found the problem. I restored my computer system to before I installed Vista SP-2 and DNS worked fine. I downloaded and installed Vista SP-2 and got the same error message, Error 1722. Apparently, Vistas SP-2 causes DNS not to work. Does anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this? Thanks in advance. Referee07 refe
