Error 1722 Ip Communicator

Guest Hi I am receiving the error message Error 1722. there is a problem with this windows installer pacakge. When installing the CISCO IP communicator on a windows 2000 laptop. I have installed this sucessfully installed this on 6 other laptops. As per other forums I have tried to reinstall the windows installer - only to be given an error message that I have the wrong os ??? Also I have registered one of the dll file that makes up the installer pacakge by running the following http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-voip/2004-September/001461.html command. regsvr32 wintrust.dll. "Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support error 1722 personnel or package vendor." I've installed this exact same .msi on many other Windows 7 (64 bit) machines on our network without failure. I've tried running as admin, running the .exe instead of the .msi. I'm out of ideas.
