I can see the process run for a split second on my target machine, but then nothing else. When I run it locally (just double-clicking the batch file and approving the UAC prompt), it installs fine. Is there an issue with error 1722 windows the latest Java installing under the SYSTEM account (which I assume the K1000 uses to install)?I've tried extracting and using the MSI but I get "Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package."Any help would be greatly appreciated.Cheers,Tim Answer Summary: TextSave summary Cancel 2 Comments [ + ] Show Comments Comments oliphanj 1 year ago See this blog. http://dptechjournal.blogspot.com/2015/04/deploy-java-18-with-msi-enterprise.html innovateus 1 year ago last edited 1 year ago I have similar situation with java 1.8 update 40 , I am using executable and i could able to install manually but when i try to install through SCCM i have issues especially on 64 bit windows 7 machines , It will not install through SCCM and i am using below switches. please let me know if there is a workaround for this. /s /L "C:\Windows\Temp\Java1.8.45.log" REBOOT=0 WEB_ANALYTICS=0 AUTO_UPDATE=0 NOSTARTMENU=1 SPONSORS=0 WEB_JAVA=1 I also tried with out out log and also tried to copy java.settings.cfg under C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\ but no luck. support personnel or package vendor. This error is an install shield error code. This indicates that the installation process has failed. One way that resolves this problem is uninstalling the corrupted java package. This can be done as follows: Remove all the traces of Java Runtime from your computer. Do this by clicking the Windows "Start" button and clicking the "Control Panel." Double-click "Add or Remove Programs" (Windows Vista users) to open the programs window. For Windows Vista users, click "Program and Features" and click "Uninstall a Program" to open the programs window. Scroll through the Programs window and select the Java application you have and click "Remove/Uninstall" to remove it from your computer. Try downloading and installing Java (see Resources) again. Move to the next step if you run into the 1722 error again. Download the offline Java installation file (see Resources) and save it on your desktop. Double-click the offline installation file and click "Run" to begin the installation wizard. Click "View license agreement." Click "Install" after reading it. The files are copied to your computer system and the program is installed on your computer. Even if the error is not resolved, then we have to remove the register entries for this corrupted java installation manually. The steps which i have described for dealing with the java error 1723 can be used to resolve this error.See http://craftingjava.blogspot.in/2012/06/java-error-1723.html. In that post i have specified steps to modify the register entries. Follow those steps to resolve this problem.
