Error 1722 during installs 20 Jan 2016 #1 Oldirty View Profile View Forum Posts Junior Member Posts : 8 Windows 8.1 BSOD's & Errors at Shutdown and Error 1722 during installs Hi there, For the past year or so (since December 2014), I have been http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/73572-bsods-errors-shutdown-error-1722-during-installs.html using an MSI GE70 2PE Apache Pro laptop, which came with a factory preinstalled version of Windows 8.1 SL. I installed all the regular software that I have always had on previous laptops, and which have never had any issues on http://muvasbl.tumblr.com/error-1722-windows-installer-package previous older machines. The current MSI laptop worked seamlessly for over 6 months. After that time period, I started experiencing BSOD's at random times, and often when I am shutting down. Another error (which I can never quite see as it error 1722 pops up on screen for a split second) when I am shutting down, also happen every now and again. The most recent occurrence of glitches on the same machine, was 2 days ago, when I was trying to send a ZIP file to a colleague, and the WinZip 19 64bit that I have installed, refused to launch. I ended up zipping the file on an older laptop, which luckily was close by, and sent the file. I then uninstalled Winzip (using Revo Uninstaller) error 1722 windows and reinstalled the same version 19 that I had in a software folder I keep, the install process quits with an Error 1722 message, stating that the installer has a problem (which it hasn't - since it was previously working just fine on the same machine) and I exit out of that install. That is when I launch the 64bit MSI file for WinZip. I then decided to try out the 32bit MSI file, and that one completed the installation just fine. One other concerning incident was when I tried to open MS Paint on the MSI laptop, it does not open up at all. All I get is a message that reads: "Paint is trying to recover your information." and nothing happens after that. Even if I check Task Manager, Paint does not show up as running. I started checking online as to why some MSI files won't install, or why some Windows default programs will not run, and I saw a post on a forum that recommended that I run a SFC scans from the elevated command prompt. I did this and the log file was saved to my desktop, and it indicated that there are two files that are corrupt and that can not be repaired. The error shown in the SFC log pointed to 2 instances of a "Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB" file that is corrupt and cannot be repaired. After this I read on another post that I can run a DISM command fr
