When I run the program (ASP.NET, C#) under Visual Studio, it runs perfect. The installer (using Installshield 12 Pro) that I am creating also includes Adobe Reader 8.0. I have also included the ActiveX component within my program. When I build the installer (basic MSI) it shows no errors, and it adds https://community.flexerasoftware.com/showthread.php?166375-AcroPDF-dll-Error-1904 the AcrodPDF.dll when it detects the dependency: Adding file 'AcroPDF.dll' that is a dependency of component 'Interop.AcroPDFLib.dll' When I test the installer under Installshield, it runs without errors, but when I try and run it on my computer, I get this error: Error 1904. Module C:/Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Acrobat/ActiveXdobe/Acrobat/ActiveX/AcroPDF.dll failed to register. HRESULT - 2147220473. Contact your support personnel. Furthermore, when I uninstall the program, I get the same error except it states that the dll failed to unregister, naturally. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can correct this, please let me know. Thanks in advance. Last edited by khassoun; 01-29-2007 at 12:03 PM. If im using the same command without /qb! it works fine Answered 04/09/2010 by: Bankeralle Please log in to comment Please log in to comment 0 Is that entry present in SelfReg Table then take the Wisecomcapture of the DLL and add the registries to respective component and delete the SelfReg entry Answered 04/12/2010 by: mekaywe Please log in to comment Please log in to comment 0 Sorry, Kaare, I completely missed the part of your post where you said that GUI mode runs OK but silent does not. I suspect that the MSI contains a CA which is attempting to register that DLL but, for whatever reason, the CA isn't being executed in UI mode. If you log the install, it will identify the rogue CA for you, if you can't identify it by eye. Once you know which it is, you can condition it out (using 'If 0=1', or something like that) in your tansform. That transform will obviously also contain the COM information for the DLL.
