Dec 23, 2015 7:00 AM by Joseph Finney Error 1904.Module [filepath] Failed to Register. Declan McTiernan Jan 8, 2008 9:49 PM Hi All, I was installing SP5.0 onto our 6 Solidworks workstations (all http://support.esri.com/technical-article/000007439 are identical Dell Precision workstations) this evening. All was going fine until I got to the last workstation. When the progress bar was nearing completion and the installation manager was registering components/dlls and finalizing the installation, an error dialog popped up: Error 1904.Module [filepath] Failed to Register. C:\Program Files\Common Files\SolidWorks Shared\DwgDocumentMgr.dll C:\Program Files\Common Files\eDrawings2007\EModelReviewer.dll C:\Program Files\Common Files\eDrawings2007\EModelView.dll C:\Program Files\Common Files\eDrawings2007\EModelXlator.dll Clicking "OK" on these errors the https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/12068 installation finished however as I suspected E-Drawings and SW Explorer failed to run, SW also threw up an error but it ran. I tried manually registering these dll's through regsvr32 without success. I then uninstalled everything and ran a SW clean uninstall utility to clean up all the registry remains. Manually deleted any remaining SW Folders and cleaned out all temp file locations. Rebooted and then turned off Anti-spyware and Antivirus services and tried a fresh install from DVD at SP0.0. What happened.......only the same darn error dialogs on the same files. This time I was able to manually register all the dll's and now everything's back running again. This is the first time I have ever experienced such a headache when doing an installation or installing a SP. Im just wondering has anybody else experienced this before and can maybe can offer an explanation for future reference. 1870Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. After a while I noticed the Antispyware icon in the system tray was no-longer. I tried to open the program from the start> programs> and same dialog error 1904 box appeared, that did not identify the program. I tried to uninstall, but received a number of error messages it could not remove and computer shut down. I downloaded the program again and tried to install, and received the following 10 dialog boxes. 1. Error 1904. Module c:\windows\system32\GCcollection.dill failed to register. I have to deal with it at work all day long, removing it from computers of idiots who like to hit the "joke of the day" sites, and what not. I have been hit twice, neither time anything to write home about, until tonight. There is some nasty hyattburger out there now. I was looking for a keygen (which I found) but also got infected with some horrid spyware. Ad Aware found part of it, Spybot found more and XScan found some. But there was still more. So, I went ahead and tried this:http://www.download....4-10317351.htmlI did a deep scan and it took like a half and hour, but it found freaking EVERYTHING! Even really old hyattburger that wasn't completely erased from previous scans.Anyways, there is a 15 day demo, and $30 per year to license after that. I'll have the office pick up the tab for this one, but only because it does a kick arse job.Just thought I'd share it with you folks. 0 LittleRubberGuys StoreO.M.F.G.
