IVIVIDEO.ax fails to register "Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\InterVideo\Common\Bin\IVIVIDEO.ax failed to register. HRESULT -2147220473." The installation may continue after closing the error, but WinDVD may not work properly afterwards... This issue seems to be related to broken or missing DirectX components on the computer. If you still have the error on your screen, click OK then Cancel to stop the installation of WinDVD. Otherwise, uninstall the program by clicking on Start, Control Panel, and then the appropriate option below: In Windows XP: Uninstall the program from "Add/Remove Programs". See: Microsoft - How to change or remove a program in Windows XP In Windows Vista: Uninstall the program from "Programs and Features". See: Microsoft - Windows Vista Help: Uninstall or change a program During the uninstallation, you may encounter an "Error 1905", with a message similar to the one above. Press OK to continue the uninstallation. After making sure WinDVD is no longer on the computer, update/repair the Windows DirectX by visiting the website http://www.microsoft.com/directx. Click on "Learn More" for Gamers, and then "Download the Latest DirectX". This will take you to a website where the latest version of DirectX is available to download. The name of the download should be "DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer". Was this article helpful? 0 out of 0 found this helpful Have more questions?
