Hotfix XA600W2K8R2X64077, XA600W2K8R2X64079 & XA600W2K8R2X64089 - Problem with C++ 2005 Redistributable Started by Patrick Chollet , 28 October 2011 - 12:24 PM Login to Reply 10 replies to this topic Patrick Chollet Members #1 Patrick Chollet 7 posts Posted 28 October 2011 - 12:24 PM HelloFollowing 'Recommended Citrix and Microsoft Hotfixes for XenApp 6 and Windows Server 2008 R2' we have installed missing Hotfixes on our Farm (4 supposedly identical members).While it worked flawlessly on 3 members, we have reproducible errors with installing the following Hotfixes on one member server:- XA600W2K8R2X64077- XA600W2K8R2X64079- XA600W2K8R2X64089All three produce a registration error (-1904) of rpm.dll.We then either abort or ignore the error, to the same result: the member server cannot be accessed through neither ICA nor RDP after the required reboot.Strangely enough, aborting or rolling back any of these three Hotfixes does not do the trick, we have to roll back any previous Hotfix to regain access through ICA or RDP. For instance rolling back XA600W2K8R2X64068 will do the trick. The rolled back Hotfix can be successfully reapplied later on.The error seems to be due to the newest version of Microsoft C++ 2005 SP1 redistributable, which is installed in both flavours (x86 and x64) an ALL member servers.Strangely, uninstalling this redistributable does not cut it either, the installer of the Hotfix then says it is missing. Even stranger, installing a previous version (as found on the XenApp 6 installation DVD) does not work either, the installer of the Hotfix s

To resolve this, leave this window open. And browse to C:\windows\system32\ and rename the file cutildll64.dll to cutildll64.dll.old.
